Vibration Technician
The Vibration Technician II is responsible for overseeing all vibration monitoring functions for assigned sites.
Responsibilities:
- Collect periodic vibration route data
- Analyze vibration route data and report relevant issues to Reliability Engineer
- Troubleshoot equipment using vibration data collection and analysis
- Communicate issues to relevant parties
- Shop and field balancing
- Acceptance testing in the shop and field
- Equipment inspection including but not limited to alignment, soft foot, coupling condition, base condition, lubrication condition, etc.
- Read and understand P&ID’s
- Hands on millwright / mechanic work on occasion
Requirements:
- Computer skills and knowledge of software as they apply to vibration
- Chemical industry experience preferred SAP experience is preferred
- High School Diploma or GED or related military experience is required
- 3-5 years’ experience in industry maintenance
- Able to deal with customers (internal and external)
- Able to exercises independent judgment and evaluation
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment (face-shield, gloves, safety harness, etc.)
